Holy Trinity, Stratford, on the banks of the River Avon, is probably England's most visited Parish Church. As well as being a thriving Parish church, it receives many thousands of visitors each year due to the fact that William Shakespeare was baptised here, worshipped here, and is buried in the chancel.

Soundbites Free Concerts in July 

This Wednesday at 1.00 pm Organ Scholar Jim Fellows will perfom a recital on Holy Trinity's Organ. 

Sandwiches and other refreshments will be available from 12.30 p.m.  Any money raised will help the Friends support the music of Holy Trinity.

 

Church Closures

NO ACCESS TO SHAKESPEARE'S grave at the following times:

 

Regular closures:

Chancel is closed (no access to Shakespeare's grave) on Tuesdays 10 am - 11.15 am for Holy Communion. Rest of church open to visitors. 

There is no access to Shakespeare's grave on Sunday mornings, when services are taking place. Church is usually open to visitors 12.15 - 5 pm on Sundays, unless Baptisms are taking place after the morning service, when church will be closed until 1.30 pm. 

Other closures: 

Wednesday 30 July

There is no access to the grave during the Soundbites concert at 1.00 through to 1.30 pm. 

Saturday 2nd August 

The Church will close between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm approx. for the wedding of Robert Walker and Abigail Suton.

Every week: Morning Prayer in St Peter's Chapel (access allowed to other parts of the church)  at 9.30 am on Mondays, 9.15 am Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. On Sundays there are services at 8 am, 10.30 am and 6 pm  (no access to Shakespeare's grave during services - but visitors are very welcome to attend)
