Holy Trinity, Stratford, on the banks of the River Avon, is probably England's most visited Parish Church. As well as being a thriving Parish church, it receives many thousands of visitors each year due to the fact that William Shakespeare was baptised here, worshipped here, and is buried in the chancel.

CHRISTMAS FAIR - SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER 12 - 4PM IN HOLY TRINITY PARISH HALL

As part of Holy Trinity's Choir fundraising for its tour to Estonia in 2015, the Choir invites you to this festive event! Complete with Santa's Grotto, games, tombola, stalls (arts, crafts, preservces, cakes), as well as seasonal refreshments including mulled wine, mince pies, there really will be something for everyone!

 

Soundbites FREE 1 pm Wednesday Recitals in November.

 

Sandwiches and other refreshments will be available from 12.30 p.m.  Any money raised will help the Friends support the music of Holy Trinity.

 

Church Closures

NO ACCESS TO SHAKESPEARE'S grave at the following times:

Regular closures:

On Mondays at 4.15 - 5.30 we have a Choral Evensong Service during which the church is closed except for those wishing to participate. On Tuesdays at 9.45 am - 11.15 am we hold midweek Holy Communion. During this the church will remain open to visitors however there will be no access to Shakespeare's Grave. You are, of course, welcome to join in our worship. 

There is no access to Shakespeare's grave on Sunday mornings, when services are taking place. Church is usually open to visitors 12.15 - 5 pm on Sundays, unless Christenings are taking place after the morning service, when church will be closed until 1.30 pm. 

Other closures: 

Wednesday 26

The church will be closed to visitors from 10.30 pm for the Funeral service of Gordon Cutler. It will re-open at 12.30 pm approx. 

There is no access to the grave during the Soundbites concert at 1.00 through to 1.30 pm.

Friday 28 

The church will close at 11.30 am for the funeral service of Margaret Jones. It will re-open at 1.30 pm approx. 

Saturday 22

The church will close at 11.30 am for the 12.00 noon wedding service of Michael McCrum and Cordelia Slater-Johnston Followed by the wedding service of Richard McBeath and Sophie Riches at 2.00pm. 

The church may re-open following the service for a short time.

Every week: Morning Prayer in St Peter's Chapel (access allowed to other parts of the church)  at 9.30 am on Mondays, 9.15 am Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays.

On Sundays there are services at 8 am, 10.00 am and 6 pm  (no access to Shakespeare's grave during services - but visitors are very welcome to attend)
