The Friends of Shakespeare's Church

The Friends are a registered charity dedicated to the preservation, restoration and beautification of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Church in which Shakespeare was both baptised and buried and where his remains now lie.

The Friends exist to ensure that the Church is preserved for future generations of worshippers and visitors and provide an opportunity for people worldwide to join us as custodians of our shared heritage.

The Friends of Shakespeare’s Church was launched in 2003 with an initial donation of £5. Since then over £1 million has been raised to help maintain the beauty of the Church.

The Friends gratefully acknowledge the generous support given by Stratford-upon-Avon Town Trust.
